Renew Your Support for the 2nd Amendment in 2017!

You know what happened nationally.

But the political nuclear bomb the American people set off on November 8 was felt every bit as intensely right here in Minnesota.

You and I stood toe-to-toe with BILLIONAIRE anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg yet again and delivered results virtually no political “expert” thought possible!

This was supposed to be Bloomberg’s year after all.

In the weeks leading up to Election Day, news reports showed he was dumping in $600,000 into just a handful of legislative districts.

Anti-gun candidates all over the state were so sure they could ride Hillary Clinton’s pantsuit-tails to victory.

But when the smoke cleared from Election Day, the presidential contest in Minnesota was razor tight.

The pro-gun House Majority actually gained seats and now holds a 77-56 advantage.

But the real shocker was what happened in the State Senate, which flipped control as gun-grabbers were stripped of their sizeable majorities by Minnesota Second Amendment supporters!

Debra, I need to start off by saying “THANK YOU!” for everything you’ve done in support of Minnesota Gun Rights over this past year!

But now, it’s time to ensure the results we saw on November 8 don’t go to waste.

So as your membership in Minnesota Gun Rights comes up for renewal for 2017, I hope you’ll consider being as generous as you possibly can.

With your membership, I want you to know just how much of a difference you’re making — and how much I’m counting on you to continue fighting alongside Minnesota Gun Rights in the coming year.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of seeing Minnesota at the top of Michael Bloomberg’s priority list every year.

And I’m sick and tired of seeing Minnesota ranked near the bottom of states across the nation when it comes to our gun laws.

According to Guns & Ammo Magazine, there are only 11 states worse in the country than Minnesota for law-abiding gun owners!

And up until November 8, anti-gun radicals like (FORMER!) Senate Judiciary Chairman Ron Latz (DFL-46) were scheming almost daily to make it WORSE!

If we don’t take this opportunity to go on the OFFENSE and slam the door on Michael Bloomberg, he’s not going to go away.

He’ll be back and hungry for REVENGE as soon as he’s done licking his wounds.

That’s why it’s time to insist on IMMEDIATE passage of:

*** The Minnesota Stand-Your-Ground Bill, which would simply state that law-abiding Minnesota gun owners can defend themselves against attackers without fear of legal backlash from an anti-gun prosecutor or judge;

*** Constitutional Carry, which would restore the right of Minnesota citizens to carry a firearm to protect themselves and their families –- WITHOUT going through a bunch of bureaucratic rigmarole or paying expensive fees.

In other words, if you’re legal to own it, you’re legal to carry it.

PERIOD.

These reforms are on the march all over the country.

In fact, just in the past two years, Constitutional Carry has passed in Kansas, Maine, Idaho, West Virginia, Mississippi and Missouri.

In Maine, it passed with a Democrat State Senate.

In Missouri and West Virginia, it passed with a Democrat Governor.

So there’s no reason why Constitutional Carry can’t soon be reality here.

And they shouldn’t make us wait around for months either — not if they’re interested in keeping any good will with grassroots Second Amendment supporters.

We all know that politicians crave the power that majorities bring.

Without Second Amendment supporters, there would be no pro-gun majorities in St. Paul today.

PERIOD!

In fact, the gun issue was THE decisive factor in several of the most jaw-dropping results across the state, including:

>>> Senator Rod Skoes (DFL-02) defeat in Senate District 2. Senator Skoe voted to KILL Constitutional Carry on the State Senate floor, but somehow still managed to snooker weak-kneed “pro-gun” groups into endorsing him.

After Minnesota Gun Rights exposed his record, Second Amendment supporters saw through the insider deals, and elected 100% pro-gun challenger Paul Utke.

>>> Senator Lyle Koenen’s (DFL) defeat in Senate District 17. After Minnesota Gun Rights exposed the fact that Senator Koenen voted to kill Constitutional Carry to thousands of Minnesota gun owners, he was defeated by pro-gun Republican challenger Andrew Lang.

All-in-all, Minnesota Gun Rights sent out over 44,000 pieces of mail and ran hard-hitting radio and Internet ads in nine Senate districts.

When the smoke cleared from Election Day, Second Amendment supporters won eight.

Thanks to your support, we’ve proven just how strong Second Amendment supporters are in Minnesota.

And we’ve proven legislators can’t vote against Constitutional Carry without paying a price.

In my years of working in the Capitol, I’ve learned that legislators don’t reward people just because they’re nice.

And I’ve learned that nothing ever moves unless it’s pushed.

So the victories we saw on election night will be wasted if we don’t translate them into pro-gun reforms.

That’s why now it’s time to push — and push HARD.

That’s why I’m asking you to renew your membership with Minnesota Gun Rights in the amount of $500 (Lifetime Membership), $125 (Patriot Level), $75 (Freedom Level), or $35 (Liberty Level) today!

You and I must remember, that for everything we saw happen on election night, there are a few things that haven’t changed.

Legislators aren’t going to stop playing games.

They’re not going to stop trying to weasel out of their campaign promises.

They’re not going to suddenly stop being politicians and turn into saints.

That’s why we have to be as tough and as engaged as ever.

We have to make sure they know that we will not rest until we get what we want.

You’re a critical part of sending that message.

And you’re a critical part of Minnesota Gun Rights’ winning team.

This organization isn’t run or funded by some gazillionaire playboy.

It’s controlled and funded by Minnesota Second Amendment supporters just like you.

So when you renew your membership in Minnesota Gun Rights, please consider “digging deep,” and renew your membership in the amount of $500 (Lifetime Membership), $125 (Patriot Level), $75 (Freedom Level) or $35 (Liberty Level) today!

You’ve seen the impact your support can make.

In a world of organizations promising wins and delivering nothing, Minnesota Gun Rights has proven that we can deliver.

Now, I’m counting on you to help keep this winning streak going.

Please agree to your most generous contribution to renew your membership in Minnesota Gun Rights IMMEDIATELY!

For Freedom,

Christopher Dorr
Executive Director
Minnesota Gun Rights

P.S. With the earth-shattering results of the 2016 elections, I’m more hopeful than ever that you and I can finally pass Stand-Your-Ground and Constitutional Carry into law.

The gun issue really delivered here in Minnesota.

But your support is absolutely critical to FORCING legislators to keep their promises.

That’s why I’m counting on you to please be as generous as possible by renewing your membership in Minnesota Gun Rights for 2017 in the amount of $500 (Lifetime Membership), $125 (Patriot Level), $75 (Freedom Level) or $35 (Liberty Level).
